My Life Story

Some reflections of my life so far, written in haiku.

Note: I'm a much happier, more balanced person than comes across in some of these. I seem to only write haiku when I'm feeling down. It's a real stress reliever for me :)

Flowers beckon me,
Waving in the gentle breeze.
Sadly, I rush by...

Oh God, where are you?
Why can't I see Your face, Lord,
Or hear Your sweet voice?

Darkness all around,
Suffocating, crushing me,
Where's my ray of hope?

Look into my soul:
Sometimes, all I think is there
Is darkness, death, cold.

Restlessly I toss,
Sleep seems far away tonight.
My mind races on.

I wait, watch, listen,
Wond'ring what God wants for me.
Where will He lead me?

Work, obligation,
And responsibility:
Is that all there is?

My wedding day nears
And new paths stretch before me.
I can hardly wait...
