Vacation Pictures

Now that we have a digicam, we can take pictures from our vacations. Here are a few that we'd like to share.

Amy and I visited our friends, Renee and Odell Simpson, and Heather Capple, in spring 2006. We spent a little time at Millenium Park, where we got this nice view of the Chicago skyline. This sculpture, called Amy and I vacationed in Hocking Hills, OH in the fall of 2006. Airplane Rock is way, way up what passes for a mountain in southeast Ohio. It took us the better part of 45 minutes to hike to it (not counting the hour or so we spent lost looking for the trail), but the view was worth all the effort. This shot is from the Old Man's Cave area in Hocking Hills, OH. This is exactly what I picture Rivendell from the Lord of the Rings to look like. This is a small cascade in the Rivend... errr.... Old Man's Cave area.
This is a bridge near Old Man's Cave, just below the Lower Falls. Here we are near the Upper Falls at Hocking Hills. This cascade is just above the Upper Falls at Hocking Hills. Cedar Falls is about a two mile hike from Old Man's Cave in Hocking Hills. By time we were ready to go to Cedar Falls, we were way too tired to hike, so we drove there instead.
