Kona and Sidamo

Kona and Sidamo are our kitties. They came to live with us on April 22, 2005 and are a big source of joy in our lives.

This is Kona, shortly after she came to live with us. She was quite the little peanut back then! This is Sidamo, shortly after she came to live with us. The sink quickly became this intense source of interest for both her and Kona. One of the great things about getting siblings is that they frequently do cute things, like curl up together on the bed. Kona and Sid are our household guardians. Here, they are making sure that noone sneaks in from the backyard. Back when Albie and Aro lived with us, we used to keep a towel on the table on which they sat. When Kona and Sid came to live with us, they figured the towel to be a toy. Sid used to carry it all over the house and wrestle with it.
Here's Sid, protecting her towel. Open drawers are Kona's domain. On nice days, this is where you'll find Kona and Sid. This was Albie and Aro's favorite perch, too. Look, girls, I don't look *that* funny in my boxers!
Sidamo wanted to come with me on a weekend trip. Kona doesn't quite have the regal look Albie used to have, but she's still darned cute. Sid regularly curls up with Amy. She likes Mom best... Amy brought home a doll cradle made by her grandfather when she was a girl. Kona decided it was pretty interesting. I did mention that they're cute when they're cuddled up together, didn't I?
I think I mentioned that the bathroom sink is a source of entertainment in our household. Kona was the first to really play in it. For months, she would bat at the water whenever we turned on the faucet. Sidamo likes to check out the tub after we get out of the shower. What else could I possibly say? Kona and Sid have battles to determine who gets to lay in the bathroom sink. Sid is contemplating the kitty staring back at her.
I use the lunch bag that Kona is sitting in to take my Mac Mini to work. She decided she had a better use for it... Sid has decided that Gus is her bestest friend in the whole, wide world. She spends most of the day sleeping right there with him. Kona decided to take advantage of Sid's visit to the food bowl to see what all the fuss with Gus is about. Though she spent about an hour with him, she didn't seem all that impressed.
