Christmas 2006

We had another split Christmas this year. Christmas Eve we had my folks at our house in Columbus, and we spent Christmas day with Amy's folks up in Massillon. Good food and good fun (not to mention good loot) was had by all.

Ez and Gramma H. shortly after arrival. Kenton looks deceptively cute in Mommy's reindeer antlers. Before our lunch got started, Amy got the boyz to help roll the crescent rolls. See that cheese ball on the edge of the table? That's my favorite food of Christmas. Yum! This is our little Charlie Brown tree, standing above all the loot. This is the same one my friend Kirk and I had back in the 90's that at one point stayed out in our living room for 18 straight months. My sister, TJ, mother of the boyz, inspecting some of her loot.
My brother-in-law/saint Rob was helped by Kenton with opening his gifts. Pap Pap, ever the craftsman, built treasure chests for the boyz, and he and Gramma filled them with treasure. Boy, are Gramma and Pap Pap cool! Well, lookee here! Gramma and Pap Pap (aka my parents) got some loot of their own! Amy is thrilled with her new wrapping paper orgainizer. I mentioned before that my dad is quite the craftsman. He made clocks for both Amy and me, and TJ and Rob. Some assembly required, we have to install the hands and pendulum.
Here's another look at the boyz with their treasure chests. Pap Pap inlaid their names in their boxes. On Christmas Eve night, we headed to Massillon to stay with Amy's parents. Her sister, Julie, stayed overnight, too. The Hensley's Christmas tree, with loot underneath. Julie showed off pictures of a Christmas present Jane and Ed bought for her ahead of time. Amy's grandma, Grace, got buried in a pile of loot.
Ed got a laser levelling tool which he can use to hang Jane's Kincade print (which I, of course, forgot to photograph). I'm gonna be stylin' in my new shirt! (No, I'm not high...) Jane got a new miniature lighthouse for her collection (you can almost make them atop the kitchen cupboards behind her). Amy and Julie are probably going to kill me for posting this for all the world to see :) Judy got plates which match her new silverware.
